I got the chance to go to Amsterdam for a couple of weeks back at the end of October 2011 for a business trip, and I had a spare weekend to get out and take some photographs of the city.

Taking the opportunity to try my hand at making a startrail image — something I had wanted to try for a while — whilst visiting the UK's first Dark Skies Park: Galloway Forest Park.
